Poetry in Song
1. Your task is to find two songs that have themes that are binary opposites. Explain how each of the poem’s theme relates to the binary opposite. You might want to consider the binary opposites we have discussed so far and make a list of some of the ones that resonate with you.
On your blog, create a link to the lyrics. Write one paragraph for each song that explains how the theme of the song fits your choice of binary opposite. Use lines from the song to support your reasoning. The explanation should provide specific examples and at least one quote.(Don't forget to PEE)
Write a third paragraph that describes which song you prefer and why.
You must complete this class on time as your classmates will comment on your post.
2. Visit the blog post of the person on your right, the person on your left, and at least one other classmate. In the comment section, write paragraph agreeing or disagreeing with their song preference. Explain your answer.

For example:
The song Rolling in the Deep by Adele embodies the theme of bitterness. In the song, Adele sings about a recent break-up of a relationship that did not end well. She even threatens revenge when she sings, "See how I'll leave with every piece of you/ Don't underestimate the things that I will do." Adele is so bitter and heartbroken by the breakup that she has "scars" of his love that leave her "breathless." The chorus is almost taunting, "We could have had it all" showing that by leaving her, he is giving up the amazing thing he had; they could have had everything they wanted if they were together. "Rolling in the Deep" is a song which conveys the bitter end of a relationship.
